Five Stars!
By Kimberly Vanderbloom on February 19, 2016 Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase I was gifted a copy from a friend who said I was going to love this book. My friend was right. She was so right that not only did I purchase a copy for myself I had to share it with a few friends. This book blew my mind. I actually got through it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was going because I was clueless. That ending was OMG!! I mean my jaw dropped last night and I still haven't picked it up. You get to meet Jessie Kasper. He loses his brother and mother to cancer in a short period of time. He has issues dealing with this. We read about his struggle to become normal again and not have irrational fears about being sick. It was touching and heartbreaking to read his struggle. I have never had a issue with anxiety but I feel like I have a little bit of a better understanding. He is a senior in high school who has a great best friend. Duke was hilarious. I could listen to that guy talk all day. A girl moves into town named Kacey. She is dark, mysterious and beautiful. She and Jessie fall in love and begin a romance. I'm not going to say too much because I want your jaw to drop at the ending as well. My favorite line which made me laugh so hard was from Duke. "Have you ever played Grand Theft Auto so long that your initial reaction when you see bystanders is to plow through them in your car?" Overall I loved it was completely impressed. It is fast paced, dark, uncomfortable, funny and well paced. I loved it. I look forward to reading the next book in this series because I'm dying to know what happens. Get your copy here!
